Following the success of the Luxury Digital Law Series in Autumn 2020, the Digital Law Center will organize the first "Luxury Digital Law Day” on 11 June 2021 as part of its initiative focusing on the luxury industry.The “Luxury Digital Law Day” is a five-hour webinar that will be held on Zoom on June 11 2021. It will focus on issues related to "Digital Law and Sustainability in the Luxury Industry" and host two panels during the day with a networking lunch.
The Day will start with the keynote speech of the CSR Director of the Richemont Group, Mr. Matthew Kilgarriff on the general topic of Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility in the Luxury Industry.
The first panel will be dedicated to the Role of Technology and the Law in Promoting Sustainability in the Luxury Industry. It will feature high level speakers as the Chief Digital Officer of Vacheron Constantin, Ms. Angie Au-Yeung, or a prominent Business Angel, Ms. Françoise Birnholz amongst other distinguished panelists.
At lunch, we will have a Virtual Networking Lunch for participants followed by a keynote speech of Ms. Diana Verde Nieto, Co-Founder and CEO of Positive Luxury.
The second panel will focus on Sustainability and Digital Marketing in the Luxury Economy: Business and Legal Issues and will notably welcome Ms. Giorgia Armanni, Legal Director of Stella McCartney Italy and Julie Zerbo, Founder and Editor in Chief, The Fashion Law amongst other high profile speakers.
The event will address the topics in an interactive format.
The “Luxury Digital Law Day” is designed for professionals (not limited to the legal community) who are interested in issues related to the production, distribution, marketing, and protection of luxury products and the opportunities and challenges that arise in the digital world. It aims at creating a forum to discuss these issues in Geneva, a city that enjoys a privileged position as international hub for luxury, and internationally, as the luxury industry is one of the most important industries today at a global level. The Digital Law Center will continue this important discussion with additional programs in the future.
